Who we are.

Company

Vajrashakti Ventures is building India’s first privately run plant for defence-grade nitrocellulose, the base material of every conventional propellant.

Mission

Why nitrocellulose.
Why now.

01 · The material

No substitute

0drop-in substitutes in fielded systems

Nitrocellulose is the base of every conventional propellant: small arms, artillery, tank, mortar, rocket and missile. There is no drop-in substitute in any fielded system.

02 · The dependence

Mostly imported

~70%of India’s need is imported

India needs about 4,780 tonnes a year. Roughly 3,300 tonnes of it is not made at home, and the rest comes from a single public-sector source. The Ministry of Defence has placed nitrocellulose on the Positive Indigenisation List.

03 · The answer

Our capacity

800MTPA, Line 1

Line 1 alone covers about a quarter of India’s shortfall. The site is planned for three identical lines: 2,400 tonnes a year at full build, in military grades, for India and her allies.

Deterrence is only sovereign when its materials are.

Principles

How we work.

Made here

Indian owned and Indian run, on equipment our own team can maintain.

Safety first

Buildings, procedures and shifts are planned around one rule: everyone goes home.

Precise

Every lot is tested and can be traced back to the raw cotton it came from.

Room to grow

The site is laid out so new lines can be added without stopping production.
